America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education, a Monsanto Fund program, gives farmers the opportunity to nominate their public school district to compete for a grant of up to $25,000.
The program is available in 39 states. To see a full list of eligible counties and school districts, or to nominate yours, visit GrowRuralEducation.com, call 1-877-267-3332, or talk with your Gold Country Seed representative.
Program Entry Period runs January 6, 2012, through April 15, 2012.

Gold Country Welcomes Agronomist Melanie Knaak-Guyer! 

MelanieKnaak-Guyer_3x3.jpgMelanie Knaak-Guyer recently joined Gold Country Seed
as Sales Agronomist. She comes to Gold Country from
Kruger Seeds, where she served as District Sales Manager.
Prior to that, Melanie held positions with DEKALB/Asgrow
as well as with the Pre-Foundation corn team within Monsanto.  

“As an agronomist, I strive to help growers reach their
farm’s full potential. I’m looking forward to working with
Gold Country’s customers to provide them with the help
they need to reach their goals,” Melanie states.

Melanie has a BA in Biology from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and her MS
in Agronomy from Iowa State University.  She grew up on a grain/livestock farm in
south-central Minnesota, and also farms with her family.
